Big spending Johor have completed yet another sensational transfer coup by signing the country's No. 1 striker, Safee Sali.
Safee who is still under contract with Arema FC until 2014 will join Johor on loan for next season as revealed on the club's official website, Aremafc.com.
"We would like to give more opportunities to Sunarto, Qishil or Dendi to shine next season. If Safee stays on, they will find it hard to break into the first team," Arema Chairman, Iwan Budianto stated on the club website.
Safee will join a plethora of Malaysian internationals playing for Johor; Aidil Zafuan, Zaquan Adha, Safiq Rahim, and Azmi Muslim.
The prospect of Safee combining with the likes of former Spanish international Dani Guiza, former Lazio winger Simone Del Nero and possibly Norshahrul Idlan Talaha upfront will surely whet the appetite of not only Johor football fans but also Malaysian football enthusiasts.
