LionsXII Malaysia Cup quarter final second leg to be played on October 2

LionsXII will square off with Pahang FA on Tuesday in the Malaysia Cup quarter final 2nd leg tie. LionsXII lost the first leg but are holding on to a crucial away goal

LionsXII will meet Pahang FA on October 2 for the return leg of the Malaysia Cup quarter final at the Jalan Besar Stadium. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8.45pm, simultaneously with the rest of the quarter final ties.

The first leg saw LionsXII going down 2-1 at the Darulmakmur Stadium in Kuantan with goals from Fauzi Roslan and Hafiz Kamal. Both goals was sandwiched by a Jallaludin Jaafar own goal which gave LionsXII a crucial away goal.

Should LionsXII manage to overcome the one goal deficit and qualify for the semi-final, they will be up against either Malaysia Premier League champions, Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM FA) or the Malaysia Cup defending champions, Negeri Sembilan FA.

If Lionsxii do reach the semifinal, they will play the first leg at the Jalan Besar stadium, three days after the quarter final, on October 5 with the reverse fixture on October 11.

ATM will host Negeri Sembilan this Friday for their first leg encounter before making a trip to Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi for the return leg, four days later.
