English Premier League side Arsenal will be making their way to Malaysia to play a match in Kuala Lumpur in July.
This will be the second consecutive visit for the Gunners who made KL part of their itenary in their Asia tour of July 2011 which also included Hangzhou, China.
A first-team squad training session will be conducted on July 23 at Bukit Jalil Stadium. The same event last year drew over 30,000 spectators.
The following night at 945pm, Arsenal will play a friendly match against a Malaysia XI at the same venue.
Malaysia serves as the first leg of Arsenal’s 2012 Tour. The Gunners will also make their way to Beijing, China to play against Manchester City on July 27 before travelling to Hong Kong to take on Kitchee FC two days later.
Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis said: “Further to the overwhelming success of our visit to Kuala Lumpur in 2011, everyone associated with Arsenal is very excited to once again be visiting Malaysia this year.
