Chelsea and QPR chairmen to issue joint statement asking for calm ahead of FA Cup tie – report
With John Terry and Anton Ferdinand set to meet for the first time since October's race row, both clubs are keen to avoid any ill-feeling amongst supporters at Loftus Road
The clash will see John Terry and Anton Ferdinand meet for the first time since a race row exploded between the pair in October following the Blues 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road.
The England captain has denied allegations of racially abusing the former West Ham defender, with the 31-year-old due to appear before West London Magistrates court next week, having been charged over the incident.
The match has already been brought forward to a midday kick-off on police advice, with both players being encouraged to shake hands before the encounter, although Ferdinand is believed to be reluctant to do so.
There are concerns that ill-feeling could emerge amongst the separate supporters, with both clubs pre-emptively trying to ensure there is no upheaval during the fixture.
