Morrison, who spent last season on loan at QPR, will appear before magistrates on July 31 after being accused of attacks on a 19-year-old and a 39-year-old in the early hours of Sunday.
A statement from Greater Manchester Police read: “A man has been charged after two women were assaulted.
“Ravel Morrison, of Urmston, is charged with two common assaults. He is due before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on 31 July 2014.
“At about 3.20am on Sunday 27 July 2014, police were called to an address on Alexandra Road, Peel Green, Salford, following reports a 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman had been assaulted.
“Officers attended and established the young woman had also been assaulted outside a bar in Manchester city centre earlier that evening and a 21-year-old man was subsequently arrested at a later date.
The 21-year-old was only recently handed a lifeline by West Ham boss Sam Allardyce, who indicated he was keen to keep the youngster at Upton Park for the new season.
Morrison has previously received a caution for assaulting his mother and has twice been arrested for domestic abuse offences before charges were dropped.
He has also been the subject of a 12-month referral order following two court appearances in 2011, in which he admitted to intimidating a witness.
