Following SingTel's pricing of the cross-carriage package, rivals StarHub have come out with a S$300 rebate for EPL fans
StarHub have announced that fans who choose to subscribe for the EPL package, priced at S$59.90, on their StarHub TV platform will receive a rebate of $300 from their StarHub bills, an equivalent of almost 50% of the annual cost of the EPL subscription.
“Football is nothing without the fans,” said Ms Lin Shu Fen, Head of Home Solutions, StarHub, in a media statement.
“Since the cross-carriage announcement, we have been moved by the continuous show of support by football fans eager to catch the EPL cross-carried on our platform. Hence, despite the tight timelines, we have worked hard to offer them the best deal possible to catch their teams on StarHub TV.
"At the same time, our offer gives fans access to a wide collection of branded channels available only on StarHub TV. We thank them for their support and look forward to welcoming them back on our stable network.”
Fans also have the option of following 'live' EPL match commentary on new internet sports radio channel Red Card Sports Radio on www.starhubtvanywhere.com. The channel will be available for free preview from August 9 to October 31, 2013.
Besides ‘live’ commentary, the online user interface of the channel will feature real-time match updates such as live scores and statistics, powered by PERFORM, parent company of Goal.
“Football fans constantly on the go have every reason to be excited by Red Card Sports Radio,” added Ms Lin.
“With ‘live’ match commentary and in-depth analysis, the Internet radio station will let football fans get their fix anytime, anywhere. The station is a significant addition to our soon-to-be-launched TV Anywhere apps and we are looking at even more ways to enhance our apps in future.”
Red Card Sports Radio will feature former professional football players like Rhysh Roshan Rai and Manchester United's Paul Parker and experts and personalities such as John Wilkinson, Uday Joshi and Claire Jedrek.
