"I have met with Jonathan's agent and he is comfortable with where we are at," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post.
"Hopefully we can tie something up with Villarreal soon. We are optimistic about that happening."
De Guzman has previously underlined his determination to extend his Swansea stay, adding that his international bow for the Netherlands was due to the stability available to him at the Welsh club.
