The Dane has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs after leading the Swans to Capital One Cup glory last season, but Bayram Tutumulu insists his client is going nowhereMichael Laudrup’s agent has revealed the Swansea boss has had offers from elsewhere but will be staying with the club next season.
Laudrup has enjoyed a remarkable first season at Swansea, leading them to a first major trophy in the Capital One Cup back in February, as well as finishing a record ninth in the Premier League.
The former Danish international’s success has led to speculation linking him with a number of top jobs, including the now vacant Everton and Real Madrid positions.
But Laudrup’s agent Bayram Tutumulu insists his client has no plans to exit the Liberty Stadium this summer, after signing a one-year contract extension in March which ties him to the club until 2015.
Tutumulu told BBC Sport: “Michael Laudrup, just now, is very happy at Swansea City. Of course Michael has had offers from elsewhere.
“Other teams can wait one or two years. We know Michael is going to train the big teams but this is not the moment.
“Michael doesn't think about other teams because he promised to the players and the fans he wants to stay in Swansea.”
Tutumulu also explained how Laudrup sought assurances from the board that the squad would be strengthened this summer to deal with the added strain of a maiden Europa League campaign.
“When we expanded the contract of Michael Laudrup, we spoke with the board and the chairman that they're going to make a really good team for Michael,” he added.
“A good team is no problem. If they don't have the possibility of making a good team, I don't know what can happen. Michael needs good players.
“We don't want to have the same experience as Newcastle for example. He told the board and the chairman that [Swansea] need a very good squad this year.”
