The midfielder, who came on to help his defence in the closing stages of Saturday's win over West Brom, insists the Latics are fully focused their battle against the drop

Roger Espinoza has warned his Wigan team-mates that they cannot relish their win over West Brom for too long, with a crucial clash against Swansea scheduled on Tuesday.

The Latics came from behind twice to snatch a 3-2 victory at the Hawthorns, with Callum McManaman netting the winner 10 minutes from time.

4/6 Wigan are 4/6 with bet365 to avoid relegation from the Premier League
The victory significantly boosted Wigan's hopes of avoiding relegation, closing the gap on 17th-placed Sunderland to two points, and now face a faltering Swansea side for their game in hand on their rivals.

"We’re happy with the win [against West Brom] but at the same time we can’t enjoy it too much because on Tuesday we’re back in action again."

Wigan also have a FA Cup final date with Manchester City coming on Saturday, but Espinoza says the club are fully focused on their league duties, with games against Arsenal and relegation rivals Aston Villa to come.

He said: “Right now we’re on a mission because we have to win a few games to stay up, if not every game.
“The vision to stay in this league has never gone away and it’s going to be there until the end.”
