Ferguson told reporters: "Giggs is an exceptional human being. He's lucky in some respects that he's never carried any weight.
"He's also never had a serious injury. Taking that apart, the sacrifices he has made throughout his career have been absolutely phenomenal.
"He never misses a training session, he's still at the head of the pack when we do pre-season, he's just got that insatiable appetite to keep playing.
"I think he'll play next year and, who knows? He could possibly have one year after that.
"He's 40 in November and I'm sure he'll get to 41 and still be playing because he's such a fit lad and a phenomenal man."
