thumbnail Hello,

Daniel Sturridge returns to the Reds' attack but Michael Laudrup has chosen to ring the changes ahead of next weekend's Capital One Cup final, with Michu among those rested

Philippe Coutinho will make his first start for Liverpool in the Reds' Premier League encounter with Swansea at Anfield.

The new signing from Inter Milan replaces Jordan Henderson in midfield, while Daniel Sturridge returns to the starting XI after injury.

Jamie Carragher is preferred to Martin Skrtel at centre-back as Brendan Rodgers prepares to face his former club, whose manager, Michael Laudrup, makes a host of changes ahead of next weekend's Capital One Cup final.

Chico Flores is injured and Ashley Williams is rested so Garry Monk partners Kyle Bartley at centre-back. Michu is also among the substitutes, so Israeli striker Itay Shechter leads the line.

January addition Roland Lamah is handed a place on the flank with Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge on the bench, while Dwight Tiendalli plays ahead of Angel Rangel at right-back.

Liverpool: Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Enrique; Gerrard, Lucas; Downing, Coutinho, Suarez; Sturridge.

Subs: Gulacsi, Skrtel, Henderson, Shelvey, Sterling, Allen, Borini.

Swansea: Vorm; Tiendalli, Bartley, Monk, Davies; Britton, Agustien, De Guzman; Hernandez, Shechter, Lamah.

Subs: Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Michu, Routledge, Dyer, Moore.
