Tottenham v Manchester United passes pitch inspection

After examining the playing surface, referee Chris Foy has decided Sunday's 4pm kick-off will go ahead at White Hart Lane despite heavy snowfall in London over the weekend
Sunday's 4pm kick-off between Tottenham and Manchester United will go ahead after the White Hart Lane pitch was deemed fit to play on.

Referee Chris Foy conducted a pitch inspection at White Hart Lane some 70 minutes prior to the match following heavy snowfall in London.

Chelsea's fixture against Arsenal has gone ahead at Stamford Bridge despite the winter weather but the prolonged cold conditions had put the afternoon's later Premier League contest in doubt.

Foy and his team of officials had earlier examined the pitch and deferred their decision until closer to kick-off.

The Met Office has forecast heavy snow and temperatures between -1°C and 0°C across London on Sunday afternoon.
