Manchester City have given their backing to the ongoing campaign to bring back standing terraces to Premier League grounds.
The Football Supporters' Federation (FSF), which was founded in 2002, has recently launched an initiative which attempts to persuade the relevant authorities in allow the introduction of limited standing areas to the grounds of Premier League and Championship clubs on a trial basis.
A spokesperson for the top-flight title holders said in a statement: "Manchester City Football Club is supportive of initiatives to enhance - safely - our fans' match-day experience, if supported by the appropriate football authorities."

As opposed to simple terracing, the FSF is calling for the implementation of modern-style 'rail seats' to English stadia, a system that is currently used successfully in Germany.
The campaign has already received the backing of a number of clubs from throughout England, including West Ham and Aston Villa from the top flight.
