Southampton captain Adam Lallana has praised his club's hierarchy for standing by manager Nigel Adkins in the face of poor results.
Saints managed to register just one win in their first 10 Premier League fixtures, losing eight, and racked up a division record by conceding the highest number of goals after eight games.
The poor run led to speculation over the future of Adkins at St Mary's, but, with the 47-year-old still at the helm, Southampton have improved and taken seven points from their last three fixtures - including a crucial away win over fellow strugglers QPR.
