The Spanish midfielder is pleased with how his side have fared against stronger teams, while captain Ashley Williams believes the Swans can get even better under Michael LaudrupSwansea midfielder Michu has lauded his team's display against Newcastle on Saturday, and hopes they can maintain their impressive form throughout the Premier League season.
The Spanish midfielder scored as the Swans snatched a 2-1 win in their away trip to St James' Park, sealing their first away victory in the league since their emphatic 5-0 drubbing of QPR on the opening day.
And captain Ashley Williams believes this is just the start for his club, suggesting Michael Laudrup's new style of play has brought more maturity to the side's performances.
"We needed to win after the last few results but I think we played quite well and got what we deserved," he told the club's official website.

“We play Liverpool next and if we can play like we did against Newcastle then we can go up the league."
Although the Spaniard was optimistic over Swansea's chances this season, he maintained the side must continue to work hard if they are to earn any more shocks over the Premier League's top sides.
He continued: "I feel we are getting better and I feel as though I am getting better and better each game, but we must keep on working hard because although we know we can beat big teams, we know it is easy to lose them too."
The 26-year-old has arguably been the signing of the summer after joining from Rayo Vallecano for just £2 million, scoring seven goals in 12 league appearances for Laudrup's side.
The Swans skipper and talisman Ashley Williams also claims their victory over Newcastle highlights a new-found directive under Laudrup, with his side willing to sacrifice possession to win games.
"Last year it was 0-0 and we were over the moon and we would have taken the same again beforehand.
"But it shows how we've come on," he added. "We didn't outplay them because they had chances and a lot of possession but you have to accept that away from home. We stuck to our plan and our tasks and showed a mature performance to get the win.
