The powerful midfielder endured a 13-month wait on the sidelines after picking up an ankle problem at the start of last season, and is now determined to impress Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone is hoping he can force his way into Andre Villas-Boas' plans after finally making a return from injury.

The 25-year-old sustained serious ankle damage during a Europa League play-off game against Hearts back in August 2011, and was subsequently sidelined for 13 months.

Huddlestone has come through two 90-minute appearances unscathed this season against Carlisle and Panathanaikos and the midfielder insists he is now looking to the future after a difficult period in his career.
