Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing has joined Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.The 23-year-old has struggled to secure a first-team berth following the arrival of new manager Brendan Rodgers and midfield competition in the form of Nuri Sahin and Joe Allen.
The Wirral-born battler had been linked with a permanent move to the Trotters but is now set for a temporary spell away in order to gain experience.

"It's just for six months at the moment but it may extended to a year-long deal. We're just going to have a chat now over at Bolton to see what we can finalise.
"The players that have come in are all top-class players and being at a club like Liverpool, there's going to be competition for places.
"I had a good chat with Brendan [Rodgers] and we both sat down and said that I think that it's time for me to go and get more experience, get more games at Bolton and it's something that I'm really looking forward to doing."
