Rene Girard is expecting to call upon the Belgium World Cup star next season, with the Reds expected to send the 19-year-old back on loan if they can wrap up a transfer

Lille coach Rene Girard says Liverpool target Divock Origi will remain at the club for the 2014-15 season.

The Belgium international shot to prominence at the World Cup as Marc Wilmots' side reached the quarter-finals and Goal understands the Reds are close to wrapping up a deal for the 19-year-old.

Brendan Rodgers will look to loan Origi back to the Ligue 1 club upon completing a transfer, and Girard is expecting to call on the striker for the upcoming campaign, though he would not elaborate on the circumstances.

“Divock Origi will be here (at Lille) this season,” he told reporters.

However, Girard is “less certain” about the future of ex-Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer.

“We're less certain about Salomon Kalou but for now he is at Lille,” he added.
