The Cameroon international's form has seen him linked with a move to Liverpool or Merseyside rivals Everton at the end of this season, and he admits both clubs appeal to him.

"Playing in the Champions League, that's my goal," he told Estadio Deportivo.

"Liverpool? For me, it is a pride. Liverpool are a great team that will play the Champions League. Everton is also a great team, but I can not say what will happen in the future."

But despite the interest from England, Mbia is unwilling to rule out the possibility of staying with Sevilla.

"I am very happy to have come here," he added.

"The club gave me a lot of confidence and my family is very happy here too. There is a possibility that I stay because my family is my priority. We must see how we finish the league and the final of the Europa League.

"My loan ends at the end of the season and it is possible that I stay here."
