Kaizer Chiefs are interested in keeping Amakhosi midfielder Siyabonga Nkosi beyond the current season according to the club's PRO Vina Maphosa who confirmed the talks with GoalThe 32-year old player's representatives are currently negotiating a contract extension with Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung. Nkosi's current deal with the PSL champions will expire at the end of the current season.
"Yes, contract talks with Siyabonga Nkosi are still ongoing. But, I don't have an update on how far they are," Maphosa told Goal.
The former SuperSport United attacking midfielder has had a good season so far compared to last season. He has made 14 appearances, scoring three times as well as contributing a number of assists for his teammates.
Despite winning the Absa Premiership title with Chiefs last season. The Newcastle-born player made only 11 league appearances and he scored two times for Amakhosi.
The tall midfielder who had a short stint with German Bundesliga side Arminia Bielefeld, has 26 Bafana Bafana caps as well as two goals for the senior national team.
