The Belgian side have confirmed loaning the player of Ghanaian origin to the second-tier side in order to earn more game time
KRC Genk have announced that left-back of Ghanaian decent Marvin Willem Ofori-Appiah has been loaned to Dessel Sport for the rest of the season.
According to the club, beside the youngster of Ghanaian parentage, they have also farmed out Jordy Croux to OH Leuven whilst Federik Spruyt also joins Appiah at Dessel.
Ofori- Appiah was impressive for the Genk youth team before he was promoted to the senior side last season.
The loan deal is aimed at building the player for a permanent place in the Genk first team next season.
Though eligible to play for Ghana, Appiah has featured for all the Belgian junior national teams.
