Cheetah FC’s Ernest Ohemeng has signed for Rio Ave on a six-month deal, Goal Ghana understands.
The talented youngster impressed on trials with the Portuguese side before being offered a deal and will have an extension when he stands out.
Ohemeng, 18, is likened to former Cheetah FC and Rio Ave winger Christian Atsu.
“Ohemeng is a young promising star with huge potential of making it big in the near future like Atsu,” Abdul Hayye Yartey, owner of Cheetah FC, who initiated the move stated.
He is optimistic that Ohemeng will make it with Rio Ave to add value to his career and will become a great asset to the nation.
The teenager who has also featured for Asokwa Warriors and Anokye Stars scored in his first friendly game and won the man of the match accolade as the Rio Ave Under-18s beat Boavista 3-0.
