The Ghanaian midfielder is set for his third loan spell with the Norwegian champions and has to impress to make it permanent
Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu is set for a third loan spell at Norwegian champions Stromsgodset from Manchester City.
Goal Ghana can exclusively reveal that the loan deal could be made permanent if he impresses.
Abu’s opportunities at the Etihad Stadium have been hindered further by the arrival of Nigeria Under-17 midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali, who operates in the same position in the engine room.
According to Drammen Tidende, a deal is almost close and Abu will spend the rest of the season with the Norwegian side again.
The midfielder has also featured for Frankfurt, Lorient, Rayo Valecano and AGF on loan.
