Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed Sthembiso Ngcobo's move to Bidvest Wits with immediate effect.
Ngcobo was on a season-long loan at AmaZulu, but with AmaKhosi willing to sell, Usuthu had no choice but to release the player.
"Chiefs agreed to release Ngcobo after accepting the offer from Wits. AmaZulu, the Club where Ngcobo was currently on a one-year loan deal was consulted and they agreed to release the player," Chiefs confirmed on their website.
Goal exclusively revealed over a week ago that AmaKhosi are looking to sell Ngcobo before the expiry of his contract, as he was clearly not in Stuart Baxter's plans.
And the Students, under the tutelage of Gavin Hunt, came knocking for his services, as one of the title contenders this season.
The 30-year-old former Free State Stars forward will compete with the likes of Ryan Chapman and Benjani Mwaruwari for a place upfront.
Ngcobo has six Bafana Bafana caps under his belt, and he will be hoping to impress at Wits to enhance his chances of returning to the national team ahead of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers.
