The 23-year-old striker has not started in the Bundesliga this season and claims he will seek a move away in order to secure more playing timeBorussia Monchengladbach forward Luuk de Jong admits he is likely to leave the club amid links with a move to Newcastle United.
Reports also suggest Stoke City are interested in the 23-year-old, who has failed to score in 13 Bundesliga matches this season, although all of those appearances have been as a substitute.
De Jong has been capped seven times by Netherlands but concedes he has lost faith in Monchengladbach boss Lucien Favre.
"The coach does not give me the impression that he wants to build with me,” De Jong told Bild Am Sonntag.
"He does not talk to me much. It was a half [season] to forget."
When asked if he would be leaving the club in January, De Jong replied: “I can imagine so. The coach will not change much in the second half of the season."
"[I usually played] for three or five minutes. That's no fun. I want to play more"
