Andrea Pirlo has stressed that his intention has always been to remain at Serie A champions Juventus and that he is keen to sort his future sooner rather than later.
The 34-year-old has a contract with the Turin club that expires this summer and he had recently been linked with a move away from the Turin giants.
However, Pirlo has now made it clear that he's eager to commit his future to Juventus, where he has been since 2011 after joining from AC Milan.
"It has always been my intention to remain at Juventus," the influential midfielder told Radio 105.
"We will sit down with the club in the next few days and we will see what happens. I am optimistic about my renewal. There's no deadline to sort it.
"I am feeling well and I am still motivated to keep on playing and go on. I will quit when I no longer enjoy training and playing, but it all depends on how I feel."
Pirlo has made 14 Serie A appearances so far this term, scoring three goals in the process.
