Manchester United boss David Moyes is uncertain over Wayne Rooney's future at the club, believing it may be difficult to keep him at Old Trafford if the Red Devils do not finish in the top four.

Rooney's contract has been a hot topic of conversation in England and with his deal expiring in the summer of 2015, the 28-year-old has seen interest in his services pique in the summer, as moves to Chelsea and Arsenal were mooted.

Jose Mourinho made Rooney his number one transfer target in the summer, while Arsene Wenger flirted with the possibility of taking him to the Emirates Stadium.

Rooney did opt to stay at Old Trafford but with the club languishing seventh in the Premier League and his contract renewal unresolved, the possibility exists that he could depart the champions in the summer.
