The 24-year-old Maluleka was wanted by Sundowns, but the player was happy to join the team that will play in the Caf Champions League this year
Maluleka's future has been the subject of speculation in the past few weeks, and he was thought to be considering a move to Chloorkop until Chiefs came in with a lucrative offer.
AmaKhosi confirmed the news on their website, while also revealing that Lehlohohonolo Majoro has moved to SuperSport United as part of the deal.
Majoro told Chiefs late last year that he will not renew his contract beyond 2014, and the club had no choice but to sell him.
"Lehlohonolo Majoro is now a SuperSport United player after signing a three and a half year deal. We wish him all the best.
"We would like to confirm the signing of George Maluleka on a three and a half year deal. We welcome him to the Amakhosi Family," Chiefs confirmed on their Twitter account.
AmaKhosi are expeted to announce a few signings before the end of the month, with Edward Manqele one of the players that Chiefs are interested in.
However, Sundowns are reluctant to release the player after coach Pitso Mosimane expressed his dissatisfaction at how Chiefs have dealt with this issue.
