Gor Mahia have signed Chemelil Sugar striker Jared Obwoge Omwenga.
According to the club’s Secretary General George Bwana, the former Chemelil Sugar hit man has been given a three year contract that will keep him at the club until 2017.
“We are happy to have landed Obwoge given his status as one of the top strikers at Chemelil. His presence will go along way to give us options upfront as we face a busy season next year,” said Bwana.
Gor tried to make a move for the striker in the 2013 mid-season window but it did this did not work out.
Bwana at the same time revealed their disappointment at missing out on signing international defender Jockins Atudo.
“We had targeted him but he informed us he had a pre-agreement with Tusker to return to the club after his stint in Azam ended. We are disappointed but have to move on,” he told Goal.
