Moroka Swallows coach Zeca Marques has confirmed to Goal that none of his players are for sale as we approach the January transfer window.

There have been reports that Swallows might consider offers for midfielder Lerato Chabangu, but Marques insists that no one is leaving the club.

“We are not going to sell our best players, including Lerato Chabangu, when we should be reinforcing our squad,” Marques told Goal. “We only have 22 players in the team and you could see that we are struggling with injuries and suspensions. So, no one is leaving the club,” he said.

The Dube Birds coach also revealed that they will be looking to make a few signings before the closing of the transfer window at the end of January next year.

But he admitted that the club is facing financial problems to get high profile players, as they are still in search of a new sponsor.

“We are looking to improve several positions from defensive to attacking positions, but as you know we are still looking for sponsors, and once that is sorted then we can start buying players. But for now we will just go for available players who can contribute to the team,” said Marques.

Chabangu, formerly with Sundowns and AmaTuks, could be offered a new contract when his current deal expires at the end of next June.
