Kaizer Chiefs sign Lebogang Manyama from Ajax Cape Town

The Tembisa-born midfielder has been on the wanted list of Kaizer Chiefs, and he nearly moved to Naturena at the beginning of the current season
Kaizer Chiefs have, on Tuesday night, confirmed that Ajax Cape Town midfielder Lebogang Manyama will move to Naturena in January.

The 23-year-old Manyama reportedly told the Ajax management that he won't renew his contract when it expires next June, and Chiefs came knocking on the door.

AmaKhosi broke the news on their official Twitter account: "We would like to confirm the imminent move of Ajax Cape Town player, Lebogang Manyama to Naturena in January."

Manyama has been in the Bafana setup for a while now, and he is expected to add value to the Chiefs team, as they attempt to defend their two titles.

Goal revealed before the start of the season that there had been meetings between Manyama's agent and Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung, but the deal couldn't be finalized, as the club was sold to the Efstathiou's family.

However, the Urban Warriors bosses couldn't keep the player any longer, because they would have had to let him leave as a free agent.

Manyama, who has scored four goals for Ajax Cape Town already this season, is expected to play his last two games for the Mother City's outfit before joining his new teammates.
