Transfer News: Sarawak announce 2014 squad, include nine new faces

Meanwhile, Cameroonian midfielder Guy Bwele who had been axed by Sarawak, was reported by Indonesian newspaper Kompas to have infuriated Indonesian Super League side Arema Indonesia's management. Bwele, who was reported to have agreed to join the Malang-based team, never showed up, forcing Arema to look for a new foreign player, as explained by general manager Ruddy Widodo to the daily.



New head coach Azraai Khor was quoted by Sinar Harian today as saying that on top of Patrich Wanggai and Fabio Flor, they have also secured the signing of former Kedah import; Nelson San Martin. Martin played under Azraai at Kedah during the Canaries' successful double-treble period in 2006 - 2008. Martin then left Kedah when the league prohibited the use of foreigners in 2009, but returned to Alor Setar for the 2013 season.


It was reported by the national news agency; Bernama that this year's Premier League champions; Sarawak have secured the services of nine new players for the upcoming season. The new foreign imports are Milorad Janjus (Serbian), Alireza Abbasfard Rahim (Iranian) and Gabor Gyepes (Hungary). They will be joining the remaining foreign player; forward Muamer Salibasic while midfielder Guy Bwele had been dropped.
The new local players are Fadzley Abdul Rahim (DRB Hicom), Lot Abu Hassan, Reeshafiq Alwi (both PKNS), Rashid Aya (Johor), Akmal Rizal (Kedah) and S. Chanthuru (Perak). As the latest season's Premier League champions, Sarawak will be promoted to the 2014 Super League.
