Self-imposed chairman, Joseph Kinesi reveals that the ex-Gor Mahia tactician is expected in Tanzania on December 1 to sign a long term contract
Former Gor Mahia coach Zdravko Logarusic is set to take over at troubled Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
Self-imposed Simba chairman, Joseph Itangire alias ‘Mzee Kinesi’ revealed on Tuesday that the Croat tactician is expected in Tanzania on December 1 to sign a contract with the Msimbazi-based club.
Logarusic will be assisted by former midfielder and skipper, Selemani Matola. The decision to appoint Logarusic comes a day after Simba sent packing the entire technical bench headed by Abdallah ‘King’ Kibaden and his assistant Jamhuri Kihwelo for poor performance.
According to Daily News, the club’s executive also announced the suspension of chairman Ismail Aden Rage, allegedly for ‘lack of vision’ and mismanagement.
Logarusic has been jobless since leaving newly crowned champions Gor Mahia, a side he helped clinch a double and finish second in 2013 season. Logarusic had also been linked to the vacant job at Azam.
