Perak are close to signing Zayar Win, Myanmar's U-23 captain, as their import player for the 2014 Malaysian Super League season.
Perak manager, Datuk Azhar Ahmad, said that they are still in the negotiation stage, but when everything is done he hopes the Myanmar's Zayar Win will be playing for Perak next season.
Azhar however did not deny that there are still chances for other import players from countries such as Burkina Faso and Ghana to prove their talent in friendly matches before they finalize their squad for next season.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Azhar said: "For now we cannot comment much on our import players but Zayar Win is close to joining us.
"Any news regarding that will be released in the near future because we still have international players from countries such as Burkina Faso, Ghana and many others that are trying their luck with us."
Meanwhile, their new head coach Abu Bakar Fadzim confirmed that his side are still in the process of selecting new import players, including Burkina Faso international Martin Kafando.
"From time to time we will have friendly matches with teams in the M-League to see the development of our players," he added.
