The 25-year-old Thailand international could make a permanent move to the La Liga club at the next transfer window

Thailand striker Teerasil Dangda will be returning to Atletico Madrid for a second stab at playing in Spain, and this time the Muangthong United player is looking to make his move permanent.

Speaking exclusively to Goal, Muangthong United President. Pongsak Pholanan, stated that the forward will be going for a short link-up with the La Liga side first before hoping to sign permanently in the January transfer window.

"At first, he'll train with Atletico but won't play for them directly as there's no foreign player slot left," explaind Pongsak.

"He also need some time to adapt to Spanish football once again. A short-term loan is possible and if everything goes as plan, he'll be registered in the January transfer window to play in La Liga."

The official Facebook page of the 2013 Thai Premier League runners-up, also broke the news of a permanent move with a post titled, 'Finally he'll play in La Liga in 2014 with Atletico Madrid. Congrats!'

25-year-old Teerasil found himself being sought after by Atletico Madrid following his performance at the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup.

An initial two-week training spell was extended to a full month by Atletico after the Thai forward caught the attention of the coaching staff.
