The Baggies will try again come the winter transfer window to sign the youngest son of Ghana football legend Abedi Pele on loan
West Bromich Albion boss Steve Clarke will make a January loan swoop for Ghana forward Jordan Ayew after he failed to bring him to The Hawthorns last summer.
Clarke succeeded in tying up a loan deal for Ayew’s Marseille team-mate Morgan Amalfitano. West Brom want to go back in for the 22-year-old striker who is likely to leave southern France at the end of this season.
Amalfitano's move has been a success - he scored a brilliant solo goal at Manchester United – attracting interest from Serie A clubs Roma and Juventus. According to Football Direct, Clarke hopes to set up another loan move in January as the Scot aims to build on an impressive run.
But he could face competition from Premier League rivals Everton and Stoke City. Everton boss Roberto Martinez is looking for a long term replacement for ex-Baggies loanee Romelu Lukaku when he returns to Chelsea next season whiles Mark Hughes is desperate to find a consistent scorer.
Ayew is out of favour at Stade Velodrome and in need of a boost after averaging just one goal every seven games for the French side.
