The FK Haugesund star is incensed over his side’s decision to refuse him a move to the Premier League new boys during the summer transfer window
Sierra Leonean central defender Umaru Zangalay Bangura has continued to express his disappointment over his failed move to join English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The Leone Stars vice-captain saw his dream move to the elite league collapse in the summer after FK Haugesund refused an offer from the EPL new boys.
The disappointed defender who was on international assignment with the Sierra Leone national team said the failed move has ruined the relationship between him and his Norwegian team.
“The club refused to release me despite their knowledge of me going to be a free player. I think me being a very important player for the club this season was the reason,” Bangura told Goal.
“However, I am frustrated with the club for not letting me go and presently there is a bad relationship which currently exists between me and the club. I just wanted to continue to be a professional and give my best to finish the season with them and let me be.”
According to Bangura, he was livid with the decision of his club because it was an opportunity every player may not want to miss.
