The Ghanaian defender has obtained his work permit and can feature for the Brazilians next week when they face Platinum StarsGhana defender Rashid Sumaila has acquired his work permit and is set to make his Mamelodi Sundowns official debut next week when they play against Platinum Stars at home.
The 21-year-old centre-back has been with the South African side in their pre-season tour in Ghana, but is yet to make his debut since the league began.
“I have acquired my work permit and other important documents so I am set to make my league debut next week,” the former Asante Kotoko guardsman informed Goal Ghana.
“Hopefully, I am looking forward to our home game against Platinum Stars which will be very crucial. I am fully prepared if the coach decides to field me.”
Sumaila joined Downs last month after helping Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier League. The Black Stars defender also played for Ebusua Dwarfs before joining the Porcupine Warriors on loan after a move to Algeria hit a snag.
