The 30-year-old admits he would welcome a new midfielder to Parc des Princes this summer provided they had sufficient quality to boost the squadParis Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has said the club should opt against making further signings this summer unless they can add significant quality to the squad.
Reports suggest that les Parisiens, who have already spent in excess of €100 million (£85m) on the likes of Edinson Cavani and Marquinhos during the current transfer window, could be forced to scour the market once more following a sluggish start to their Ligue 1 title defence.
Thiago Motta, however, insists that Laurent Blanc should only look to bring in the very best players to bolster the squad at this stage.
"If we were able to get a midfielder who would improve us, then he would be welcome," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
"But in this case we should be aware that not many could earn a place in the team because we have many quality players."
PSG were held to 1-1 draws by Montpellier and Ajaccio in their opening Ligue 1 matches of the new campaign.
