With Celtic having suffered a poor start to the Absa Premiership and the MTN 8 tournament, they desperately need to make improvements to inspire the team.
They invited experienced players such as Diyo Sibisi and Thembinkosi Fanteni to add experience to the squad. A source at the club told Goal that the coach is expected to make his final decision before the end of the week.
“They are currently being assessed and the coach will decide before the end of the week. We do need an experienced player with great leadership as we lost a couple of our players,” said the source.
Both Sibisi and Fanteni are free agents and they are proven goalscorers, having played for a number of PSL teams before.
“We cannot confirm if they will be signed, but I know that they come with a lot of experience and the coach is keeping a close eye on them,” said the source.
Other players that are being assessed by Clinton Larsen are striker Letsie Koapang who rendered his services for Bidvest Wits and Moeketsi Mvula who was with neighbours Free State Stars.
