The biggest deal of all – Tottenham’s Gareth Bale to Real Madrid – appears to be set for a conclusion that will see the Wales international become the most expensive player in history in a deal worth more than £100 million.
Arsenal have had two bids rejected for want away Liverpool forward Luis Suarez and despite director Ian Ayre’s insistence Suarez will not be sold, it is believed the Uruguay international is available at the right price.
