AmaZulu and Sundowns after Zambian midfielder Mwape

AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee made it clear to Goal that he is after a Zambian player to bolster his team, but Sundowns are lurking

Although the Usuthu coach did not reveal the name of the player, he was very confident that he is bringing in a Zambian player. This is what he told Goal.

“I want balance in every position at the club and I can confirm that I am going to make a few signings and some will include foreign players,” said Rosslee, before indicating the payer is Zambian.

Now a source at AmaZulu can confirm to Goal that there are negotiations taking place between AmaZulu and Mwape's agent.

“There are negotiations taking place, but as you know in this game you can only confirm once the player has signed,” said the source.

The Zambian midfielder is part of the Chipolopolo national squad and also played in the recent Cosafa Cup triumph.

Another team that are hoping to get the players signature is Mamelodi Sundowns. Although AmaZulu have been known for completing deals early, this time it will also depend on the Brazilians challenge.
