"They tell me that shortly Roberto Soldado will be officially transferred," Sese wrote on Twitter.
"They're paying the [buyout] clause. Great management decision."
Tottenham had turned to Soldado after Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke U-turned on a transfer request and signed a new contract at Villa Park.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas revealed his admiration for the forward on Tuesday, with the Spanish side's coach, Miroslav Djukic, declaring that he would wish his charge "all the luck in the world" should he end up leaving for White Hart Lane.
