The Premier League newcomers are set to discuss personal terms with England Under-21 international after agreeing a £8 million fee, but manager Paul Ince is hopeful he will stay

Cardiff City have had an offer accepted for Tom Ince, according Blackpool manager Paul Ince.

The young forward has been linked with a move away from Bloomfield Road for some time after an impressive 18-goal return for the Seassiders, with Liverpool failing to agree a fee with the Championship outfit in January.

However, his father Paul has not ruled out the possibility of the 21-year-old son remaining at the club next season and is hopeful that he can persuade him to stay.

"Cardiff have come in massively for Thomas and the chairman [Karl Oyston] has accepted their offer," Ince confirmed.

"I'm not sure what the offer is because I've been away, but that's been accepted, so it's a case of when he comes back next week, Thomas, we'll sit down and see what he wants to do."

As revealed by Goal on last week, Liverpool and Tottenham have dropped their interest in the attacking midfielder after setting their sights on other targets which has allowed Cardiff to move into pole position with an £8 million bid.
