Tottenham target Guarin wants to stay at Inter, says agent

It was suggested the Nerazzurri would consider cashing in on the highly rated midfielder, with Spurs seeing a bid rejected, but his representative has denied the reports
Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin is keen to stay at San Siro in light of persistent talk of a move away, according to the player's agent.

Goal understands Tottenham have had a £15.3 million bid for the Colombian rejected by the Serie A side, but are still holding talks regarding a possible transfer.

Nerazzurri president Massimo Moratti has acknowledged interest in Guarin from clubs across Europe - claiming Spurs are "really interested" in the former Porto man - however, Guarin's representative, Marcelo Ferreyra, says midfielder has no desire to leave Appiano Gentile.

"He wants to stay at Inter," Ferreyra told "He's happy and he wants to become a champion in their colours.

"Manchester United, Tottenham and Anzhi are not part of our sporting project. Going to other clubs doesn't interest us.

"My client wants to win in the shirt of Inter."

The 26-year-old Guarin joined the Nerazzurri from Porto - initially on loan - during last year's January transfer window.
