thumbnail Hello,

The Ivory Coast striker, who has been linked with a move to various Premier League clubs after the Latics' relegation to the Championship, has not yet made plans for next season

Wigan striker Arouna Kone says that he is paying no attention to the speculation linking him with a move away from the DW Stadium.

The Ivory Coast international has been tipped to follow manager Roberto Martinez to Everton after the Latics were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Kone, though, insists that he is concentrating on his international commitments at the moment and has not ruled out the possibility of staying with Wigan next term even though he would prefer to ply his trade in the top flight.

"I have a contract until 2015 with Wigan and I settled very well there. It is a brilliant community football club. The chairman is fantastic," he told reporters.

"Yes, I want to be playing in the Premier League but it also depends on Wigan because I have a contract with them.

"Everton? Just because the gaffer is in charge makes the link stronger but, to be honest, I don't know what will happen. After the international games I will know more."

The ex-Levante forward struck 11 Premier League goals for the Latics last season and was a key part of the side who won the club's first ever FA Cup trophy.
