thumbnail Hello,

The former Spain under-21 international only penned a four-year deal with the west London club last summer but looks certain to head the post-relegation exodus from Loftus Road

Esteban Granero's agent has confirmed his client intends to quit QPR this summer following their relegation to the Championship.

The former Spain under-21 international was one of a number of big money purchases made by former manager Mark Hughes last season, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal at Loftus Road after being coaxed to west London from Real Madrid.

However, Granero was unable to prevent QPR from dropping back into the second tier following two turbulent seasons in the Premier League and his agent, Teo Lazaro, says the 25-year-old is heading for the exit as the club seek to balance the books in the aftermath of their relegation.

"QPR will have to part ways with a number of highly paid players following their relegation from the Premier League," he told Izvestia.

"Among those players listed is the name of my client. Basically, we have to find a new club."
