Manchester United target Thiago to address future after Euro U21 Championship

The Barcelona midfielder is wanted by new Red Devils boss David Moyes and says he will "see what happens" after the tournament in Israel despite his happiness in Catalonia
Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara says he will address his future after this summer's European Under-21 Championship following reports linking him with Manchester United.

Goal reported on new United manager David Moyes' interest in the 22-year-old, who is said to be considering a move away from Camp Nou due to a lack of first-team opportunities.

The Spaniard has the likes of Xavi, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song for competition in a star-studded midfield but claimed he continues to enjoy life in Catalonia.

"I just live my life and I am very happy," Thiago told reporters while with Spain's Under-21 side.

"I enjoy it in Barcelona because I have lived through some great times but we will see what happens after the Euros.

"Any player is used to living with rumours about him and they just cannot affect you."

Thiago insisted that not too much should be read into his Under-21 team-mate David de Gea's desire to see him join him at Old Trafford.

"All players want the best players in their team," he added. "I could say I hope that he comes to Barca in the same way he says things about me.

"I just think he was having a bit of fun and not too much should be read into it."
