The Belgian goalkeeper says he wants to play for the Vicente Calderon outfit for at least one more season and has thanked fans for their supportAtletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has insisted that he would like to remain at the club next season.
The Chelsea man has spent the last two years on loan at Vicente Calderon but is set to return at Stamford Bridge when the Liga season concludes on Saturday.
However, having played a big role in Atletico's recent success, he says he wants to stay in the Spanish capital.
"I want to stay here one more year to continue sharing joys with you," the 21-year-old wrote on Twitter.
"Many thanks to all Atletico fans this season! Your support in every game has been incredible!''
During his two-year loan spell in Spain the Belgian has won the Copa del Rey, the European Super Cup and the Europa League.
