With speculation heating up in recent weeks over Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao’s next destination, coach Diego Simeone has come out to say that he has no idea whether his star will stay or leave.

The Argentine was speaking at a press conference after seeing his team beat a Singapore Selection 2-0 in the Singapore Olympic Foundation – Peter Lim Charity Cup on Wednesday night, which was the culmination of their whirlwind tour to the Southeast Asian nation.

“I do not know anything about his transfer,” Simeone claimed, when probed on his reaction to reports that the Colombian would leave.

“I have known Falcao since he is young and if it is good for his career, then I will also be happy for him.”

Earlier a day before, Atletico CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin had exclusively told Goal Singapore that the club has not received any formal offers for Falcao, who is rumoured to be attracting heavy interest from Monaco, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Team captain Gabi also expressed his desire for the player to stay in another exclusive with Goal Singapore but was ready to wish the player all the best should he move.
